Our faculty and staff are devoted to helping students achieve their full potential from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. We offer a comprehensive educational experience geared toward 21st Century learners that partners deeply-rooted traditions with exciting new initiatives in academics, science, technology, and the arts.
Access to the latest technology allows students to better communicate and interact with one another, and also enhances the learning process. This is why we utilize and keep pace with the latest technology and learning tools.
Saint Rose Grammar School boasts an ever growing technology lab, computers in every classroom, access to an extensive software library, and a hands-on science curriculum that is enhanced with technology in the classroom. It is our commitment to science and technology that will give our students the head start they need to succeed in High School and beyond.
St. Rose Grammar school is pleased to offer advanced classes to 8th grade students who demonstrate an aptitude for Math or Spanish. Students are chosen based on their performance in each subject and by the recommendation of their 7th grade teachers.
The selected Math students will have the opportunity to take freshman algebra classes in our high school. The curriculum is more challenging and gives the students an opportunity to work ahead of their peers. This program also better prepares them for the rigors of advanced High School math.
Spanish students are instructed in the Grammar School setting, however the class is structured exactly like a High School level Spanish I class. Every Student at the end of the year has the opportunity to take a placement test to be placed in Spanish II.
The arts are essential to stimulating creativity and developing innovative thinkers. Love for the arts begins at a young age and it is an important part of a student’s education. At Saint Rose Grammar School we promote and offer a variety of opportunities in our Fine Arts program, for students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. In our art classes, students are introduced to a broad-based approach to art-making. We also offer a comprehensive music program, which includes music classes, individual instruction, chorus and a school band, and we have a beginner’s performing arts program.
