A Parish School Board is a means of responding to the Bishop's mandate that each diocese does all that Is necessary to ensure that Catholic Education continues to be valued and successful. The role of the Board is to assist the parish in reaffirming its commitment to Catholic education and to raise the awareness of the parish community that Catholic schools continue to be "the most effective means available to the Church for the education of children and young people" who are the future of the Church (To Teach as Jesus Did).
